Crystal Depths collects nothing about you. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting and no third-party SDKs of any kind. It makes no network requests of its own — the only server it ever talks to is Apple's App Store, and only to deliver in-app purchases. Its App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected, and that is a description of the code, not an aspiration.
Everything the game remembers is written to your device only, inside the app's own container:
profile.json file.That is the complete list. None of it identifies you: there is no name, no email address, no account, no device identifier, no advertising identifier and no location in any of it. None of it is transmitted anywhere by the app.
Because the save file lives in the app's normal storage, iOS includes it in your own device backup if you have backups turned on — iCloud Backup or an encrypted backup on your computer. That backup belongs to you and is governed by Apple's privacy policy; we have no access to it and no way to read it. Restoring a backup is also the only way progress survives deleting the app.
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. The app asks the App Store for the price list, hands a purchase to Apple to complete, and asks which purchases your Apple Account already owns so that non-consumables can be restored. We never see or receive your payment details, your Apple Account, or any receipt — nothing about a purchase is sent to us or to anyone else, because there is nowhere for it to be sent. Refunds and purchase history are managed by Apple.
The daily puzzle has a share button. Nothing is shared unless you tap it, and what it shares is a short line of text — the puzzle's date, your star rating and your streak — handed to the standard iOS share sheet. You choose where it goes, and it goes there directly. The app does not post anything anywhere on its own.
The app requests no system permissions at all: no camera, microphone, photos, contacts, location, notifications or Bluetooth. It does not ask to track you across apps and websites, because it has nothing to track you with.
Crystal Depths is rated 4+ and is safe for children. Since nothing is collected from anyone, nothing is collected from a child either. There is no chat, no user-generated content, no advertising, no external links, and no way for a player to reach the open web from inside the app. Purchases go through the App Store, where Ask to Buy and Screen Time restrictions apply as usual — a purchase sent for a parent's approval is held until it is approved.
Privacy laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you rights to access, correct, export or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none: no data about you ever leaves your device, so there is no copy of anything for us to look up, hand over, sell or delete. We do not sell or share personal information, because we have none. To erase everything the game has stored, delete the app — that removes the save file and the settings with it.
If a future version ever begins collecting anything, this page and the App Store privacy label will both be updated before that version ships, and the date at the top of this page will change.
